More About Me

Danell Spelhaug - REALTOR®

I’m excited to introduce myself to the world of real estate!  My name is Annette Spelhaug, but I go by my middle name, “Danell”. I was born and raised in Corpus Christi, TX and moved to San Antonio in 2010 to continue my 22+ year career with an iconic restaurant brand where I held positions in Marketing, Business Operations, and Talent Development.

In 2018, I started working on my MBA virtually via Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and the stars aligned in May 2021 when I earned my degree and landed a new job with USAA as a Talent Acquisition Business Advisor. I LOVE my day job, but real estate has always been an interest of mine, and I knew someday I wanted to get my license.  So last year, I asked for real estate classes as my Mother’s Day gift and I set a goal to complete the course and get my license by the end of the year.  I was thrilled to pass the tests in December and spend my holiday break interviewing brokerages in addition to spending quality time with my husband and teenage son.

It was important to me to share my journey with you because it illustrates my commitment and diligence to setting and achieving goals.

There is a quote by Simon Sinek that says, “People don’t just buy what you do, they buy why you do it”.  My “why” is helping others; I find satisfaction in having a full calendar and in knowing that I am somehow making a difference.  It is important to me that I instill this value in my son, which is why I enjoy making memories volunteering with him as members of a mother-son service organization, and in 2022 I was honored to fill a seat on the board amongst other amazing women.

In my spare time, I enjoy honing my photography skills, perusing real estate listings (and pondering alternate staging opportunities), and watching sports with family.

I am elated about this new adventure with JBGoodwin and the opportunity to assist clients with their real estate needs.  My education and training, combined with my personal home buying/selling experiences, poise me to help you.  I look forward to meeting you!
